A proposed introduction to the ethics and principles of non-romantic professional touch, what it is, and what it is not.
Proposed training on continuous consent, discussing session terms, and communicating clearly before and during a session.
Setting, publishing, and holding clear boundaries. How to decline a request without damage to the relationship. Recognizing and refusing boundary push.
The window of tolerance, common trauma responses during sessions, and the principles of trauma-informed practice — safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, empowerment.
Identifying risk early. Verbal de-escalation techniques. When to pause a session, when to end one, and how to make either decision without harm to either party.
Proposed guidance on setting rates, managing a schedule, client communication, self-care, and finding qualified tax or legal advice when needed.
Covenly is evaluating an optional training credential. Pricing, timing, curriculum, and assessment details have not been finalized.
If launched, participation will be optional and will not be required to create or maintain a Covenly directory listing.
The credential would reflect completion of Covenly training. It would not include a criminal background check or replace professional licensing.
