We built Covenly because the existing options weren't good enough. Here's how we help you stay safe — the tools we give you, and the part that stays your responsibility.
Covenly gives you tools and optional checks. We do not screen users for you — so the most important safeguard is your own judgment. Use these together.
Providers and clients can complete optional ID verification to earn a badge. A badge means a check was done — its absence is normal, and you decide how much weight to give it.
The one rule we enforce above all: every session is non-sexual. Anything sexual — by either party — is an instant, permanent ban, and we keep the platform demonstrably platonic. This is the line that keeps everyone safe.
Covenly does not screen users for you. Providers choose which clients to accept; clients choose their providers and conditions. You vet every person yourself and meet at your own discretion.
All messages between clients and providers happen through Covenly's secure messaging — never on personal phones. Contact details stay private until you choose to share them.
Report a problem and a real person reviews it. A flagged report can pause a session, suspend an account, and trigger an investigation — and serious conduct is referred to law enforcement.
Every account agrees to these before booking or accepting a session. They aren't suggestions.
Covenly sessions are strictly non-sexual. Any romantic or sexual contact, suggestion, or solicitation is a permanent ban — clients and providers alike. No exceptions.
Either party can pause, redirect, or end a session at any time, for any reason. Providers are trained to check in throughout. Clients are protected by full-refund cancellation rules if a session is ended early due to a boundary violation.
Sessions take place sober. Showing up impaired — alcohol, recreational drugs — is grounds for the provider to cancel and report. Repeat reports result in account suspension.
Every provider publishes their boundaries before booking — accepted environments, attire, types of touch they offer. Booking implies acceptance of those terms.
Most platforms describe their reporting flow in two sentences and hide the rest. Here's exactly what happens.
0–4 hours · Acknowledgment
You hear back from a real person, by name. We confirm what we received, ask any clarifying questions, and confirm what happens next. We do not auto-respond.
4–24 hours · Initial review
A Trust & Safety lead reviews the message history, account history, and any system signals from the session. If a session is currently in progress, we contact the at-risk party first and offer to end it remotely.
24–72 hours · Investigation
If the report is corroborated by message history, prior reports, or system signals, the reported account is suspended pending the investigation outcome. If the report is contested, we reach the other party and gather their account before making a decision.
Resolution
Outcomes range from a warning, mandatory re-training, partial or full refund of the session, permanent ban, and where relevant, referral to law enforcement. The reporter is informed of the outcome category (warning / suspension / ban / external referral), but not given private details about the other party.
Reporter protection
A report never affects the reporter's standing. We do not share who reported. We do not allow reported accounts to retaliate via reviews. We never request a session continue after a report has been filed against the same provider.
What Covenly covers when a session goes wrong.
Any session can be cancelled by either party up to 12 hours before the start time, no questions asked, fully refunded.
If you end a session early because the provider violated Covenly's conduct rules — boundary push, intoxication, non-platonic suggestion — you are refunded in full immediately, including the cancellation window.
Providers receive their full session fee if they end a session early for a safety reason. The client is charged the standard fee and reviewed under our conduct policies.
If your provider doesn't show within 15 minutes of the start time, the session is automatically cancelled and refunded.
You have 7 days after a session to flag a concern about the session itself. Refund decisions are made within 72 hours of a flagged session.
For providers
Most platforms in this space treat providers as expendable. Covenly does not. The same systems that protect clients protect you — and several go further.
You see a client's request before anything is confirmed and decide whether to accept. If a client has completed optional ID verification, you'll see a badge — but you choose who to meet, and you can decline anyone for any reason.
Any safety-related cancellation — at any point, before or during a session — keeps your fee and doesn't affect your provider rating.
You can opt into automatic mid-session check-ins via SMS. Miss two, and our team contacts you directly. A third miss triggers a safety escalation.
You can permanently block any client from booking you again. The block is invisible to them — they simply can't see your availability.
You are an independent contractor (1099). Covenly issues a 1099-NEC if you exceed the IRS threshold in a calendar year, and we publish a year-end earnings summary in your dashboard for easy filing.
Trust your gut. Tell us immediately. A report doesn't need to be a major incident — discomfort, a pushed boundary, or a gut sense that something isn't right is enough. Reports are confidential, reviewed by our team within hours, and never affect the reporter's account.
