Consent and boundaries in platonic companionship

Consent in platonic companionship must be voluntary, specific, informed, ongoing, and reversible. Both the client and provider may say no, request a change, pause, or end the session. Payment, a booking, prior contact, or a verification badge never replaces present consent.
Use specific agreements
Broad phrases such as “I'm comfortable with touch” leave too much room for different interpretations. Ask about the actual activity and check again when circumstances change.

Boundaries protect both people
Providers have boundaries too. A client's payment does not purchase unlimited access, and a provider's listing does not require them to accept a request. Clear scope, time, location, communication, and cancellation boundaries reduce ambiguity for everyone.
