What is professional platonic companionship?

Professional platonic companionship is paid, non-sexual time with an independent provider. Depending on the provider and the agreement, a session may include conversation, shared activities, quiet company, or consent-led comforting touch. It is companionship—not dating, sex work, psychotherapy, medical care, or an employment relationship with Covenly.
What a session may include
Every provider defines their own services, rates, availability, locations, and boundaries. Clients and providers should discuss the specific plan before meeting.

- A walk, meal, event, or other agreed public activity
- Comforting touch or professional cuddling when the provider offers it
- Clear check-ins before and during the session
What it does not mean
Platonic means non-sexual. A provider may decline any request, and consent to one activity never implies consent to another. Covenly is an advertising directory and is not a party to sessions arranged between users.
Companionship may feel supportive, but it is not a substitute for licensed medical or mental-health care. Providers should not make clinical promises unless they separately hold a relevant credential and are acting within its lawful scope.
